Experience Effects

Quick Reference

Detail

Titans that land hits on the enemy will gain experience. Experience is dependant on the relative ages of the titans, how hard it is to hit the target and the number of shots that hit - not the amount of damage done. It is limited to a maximum of the titans age*3. For example, a titan 6 turns old can have at most 18 experience. Or to put it another way:

experience gained per salvo = HITS * 30/(100-ECM)*(DefendersGen+50)/(AttackerGen+50)

No TITAN can have experience greater than its age*3

A Titan with experience is a valuable beast, it will have a significantly increased chance of scoring a hit upon the enemy and so increasing its experience even further! The table below shows the % chance increase in hit chance that experience gives.

ExperienceChance to hit increase
1-101%
11-301/2%
31-601/3%
61-1001/4%
101-1501/5%
etc.etc.

Note that experienc increases the chance to hit, but these hits do not benefit from the minimum damage rule. For example, a titan may hit due to experience with 2 hits landing, but the shield tech of the target outclasses the firers weapons tech, making each hit only inflict 0.25 damage. Total damage is 0.5, so there is a 50% chance of a single unit of damage from the 2 hits.

Hits due to experience only are called 'secondary hits'. Primary hits are scored due to base weap tech v's shield tech and these benefit from the minimum damage rule - at least 1 hit or 1/3 of all hits actually score damage.
