After joining the game you will receive by email a go report. This will include within it a section of text which starts and ends with ---TITANS---. This text can either be saved to file (if running the game client stand alone) or should be copied and pasted into the game client.
You will have to use this email mechanism to receive your first turn - this verifies your email account and ensures you receive your player id. During the first turn (or any other) you can use the update player details dialog to turn off the emailing of reports and leave them as html only. This means you will be able to simply type in your player id and password and the game client can then retrieve your go reports for you.
The File menu has three mechanisms for reading last turns results, either by reading the text from a file (if running stand alone via the runnit.bat file) or by using the clipboard to paste the text directly into the game, or by retrieving the report from the game server on-line.
Consult the mode table below for when you can use each of the three mechanisms.
To read the orders file, you must first have used your email client to save the report to a file. Then use the game client file option to select the file from your disk and read it in.
To obtain your go report on-line you will have to enter you player id and password - NEVER tell anyone else what these are. Once you have entered them the game client will communicate over the internet with the game server to obtain your last go report. You can use the on-line send facility to post the go orders back to the game server when you have finished.
To paste the game report in, simply copy the text, open the paste window within the game and paste the text in. Control-c will copy the text and Control-v will paste it on windows platforms. Once pasted in hit the OK button and the game will interpret the data within the text block. You should now see a list of your titans and details of the map. If this is your first turn then you will have a single Titan called Mother - she is special in that she breaks all design laws and has a huge spawning chamber.
The security restrictions within Java mean that these three options will only work in certain situations.
